The Uranium Film Festival travelled for the 2nd time to India, a country with 1,2 billion people still looking for 24 hours electricity. India is still in need for cheap energy for millions of small housholds. Is nuclear power the solution? Is it save, clean and cheap? The festival travelled to 6 cities, reached over 4000 spectators. The Uranium Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro goes again to Berlin. This time it will be in the Babylon cinema, Sept. 29 to Oct 03, showing new atomic films from around the world. The 2011 in Rio de Janeiro for the first time launched unique festival is the world's only festival dedicated to the entire nuclear fuel chain and radioactive risks: From uranium mining to nuclear waste, atomic bombs, nuclear accidents. The 4th International Uranium Film Festival Rio de Janeiro - hailed as "The Atomic Cannes" - has honored the 2014 award winners in a special ceremony at the Rio de Janeiro's Modern Art Museum Cinemateque. The festival awarded 5 Yellow Oscars and 8 Special Recog-nitions. One Yellow Oscar went to the German movie "Final Picture" (Photo). In a few days will start the IV International Uranium Film Festival Rio de Janeiro 2014. Between May 14th and 25th more than 60 movies, documentaries and animations from over 20 countries about nuclear power, uranium mining and radioactive risks (From Hiroshima to Fukushima) will screen in the Cinema of Rio's Modern Art Museum. Rio de Janeiro's Uranium Film Festival is the world's biggest showcase of eye opening films about nuclear energy. It's the "Atomic Cannes".

The second edition of Uranium Film Festival, India has till now traveled to five cities with the top institutions of country like National institute of Design, Ahmedabad, St. Francis College for Women and Annapurna International School of Film and Media Hyderabad, School of communication, Manipal, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Films Division, Mumbai. Apart from screening of excellent films, a photo exhibition by Ashish Birulee on uranium mining in Jadugoda was part of the Uranium Film Festival. Download here the Report.
The IUFF announces the first 10 nuclear movies selected for the 2014 edition, happening at the Modern Art Museum of Rio de Janeiro (MAM) from May 14th to May 24th.
We are glad to announce that the International Uranium Film Festival (IUFF) has arrived in India and shall continue until April 27th, 2014, showcasing program and Yellow Oscar winners from the 2013 Rio IUFF edition.
